Yes, but that's not only down to build quality. It's also because they tended to lead pampered lives.

Correct Hugh and the last car shown above was the first owner driver Rolls-Royce, something that did not need a chauffeur so the build quality from this point onwards would really be put to the test!

Do you know who is the Bentley coachbuilder ?
And what about what seems to be a Silver Wraith behind (maybe a Silver Dawn) ?

Hi Stephane.
The Bentley is a Mk VI with coachwork by James Young and is a 2 door saloon/coupe from around 1947-48.
The Rolls-Royce is a Silver Wraith with H.J. Mulliner coachwork from around 1949-51.
