That's the conclusion I very sadly came to over a year ago.

Hi Hugh I think you are right there is always that one hope that there is going to be a tan Moggy or a tan Crane laying on one of the stalls( sorry I am dreaming) I find a lot of the stall holders are getting a bit aggressive & expect to buy it if you pick it up. Sorry I couldn't post any photos of the GT40 seems I cant get them out of the folder Pete

I went to Sandown, the first time I've been to this event for a while. I enjoyed it, and thought there was a good selection of items on offer. My collection is rather wide-ranging, and my wants still include plenty of low-key items, so I can always find something to add to the collection. It's a pity that some found Sandown disappointing. It would have been nice to meet with some forum members, but I didn't know how to find them, maybe next time!

I must say that I've never had any problems with stallholders expecting me to buy models that I look at. That's just as well, as I can be hopelessly indecisive sometimes, and I usually have to make some tricky decisions to stay within budget!

I had a rather good day yesterday and found a minty #30 crane with no brace, in all my years and base turning I have only ever found one beater so to find a minter was a bonus. Fred we normally retire for a cuppa at about 10.30 in the Tea bar. Yesterday there were about 6-7 of us there. Next time maybe ?

I had a look in the cafe at 10.30, but I couldn't see any obvious groups or faces I recognised. I should have worn my special buttonhole!

I should have arranged something in advance, but last week was hectic and I didn't get around to it.

Hi all please don't get me wrong Sandown toy fair is one of the biggest & best in the UK. but as I only collect mint boxes & models I struggle every time unless I have a dealer or friend that brings me something down There are 100,000 models down there but try & find anything MINT that is a different thing, plus the drive down & back a nightmare a woman nearly ran into me yesterday while she was drinking a cup of coffee with her head tilted back plus £10 each to get in early Pete

Very nice Tim, #30 crane with no brace is very hard to find in mint condition. Wonder just how many of the same models we turn over?

I have to go to Kempton Park toy fair this Sunday the 13th, to collect a model from another dealer friend, means missing Potters Bar, sorry John and Reg, you'll have to get all the bargains without me... :D
