The Mercedes-Benz 300SE is up there with the Pontiac and Silver Shadow DHC as some of my all time favourite Superfast models of the period. Lovely example Alex.

Yes, echo that, the Mercedes is a beauty. They're all nice finds Alex, what's the story with the plated pick-up base?

That was a gamble to be honest, a poor eBay listing with shit photos by a Belgian seller and I bagged it for £12 or thereabouts. I actually thought it was bound to be a fake however I was delighted when it arrived and it was the genuine article.

It's a nice catch, you have to have a little gamble sometimes
