Australia, India, New-Zealand but also from Japan and even from the USSR and England.

GHOSTHUNTER wrote:Hello dutchdinky. I have resized your picture. If you open the picture in 'Paint' on Windows 7, 8 or 10, computers, you can fairly easily resize the picture. Your picture I resized to 22% of it's original size and reposted through 'Imgbox' picture hosting site. In general the pictures we post to the forum are around 600 pixels.

I presume the model you show is based on a White metal kit or was a stock of original Dinky Vans found and repainted.

There was a white metal van probably made by P & P copy models

This is the store De Bijenkorpf which I photographed during my last visit to Amsterdam in 20006.

GHOSTHUNTER wrote:Here is a Direct copy of the 'DINKY TOYS' Rolls-Royce Silver Cloud III, #127.
'DINKY', 'DINKY' and 'LUCKY'.JPG
The first model on the left is the regular Dinky issue in Gold with light Blue interior, the middle model is a very unusual dark Gold issue and the last model on the right is the plastic copy by 'LUCKY TOYS'.

It was always known the Lucky was a direct copy of the Dinky model, but the colour was never a close match, that was until I found the model in the middle in the picture, that is in a colour very close to the plastic copy.

Now another oddity is the fact the model in the middle in dark Gold does not have any glazing and the plated trim has virtually all gone! This model has always been secured by a rivet, so the glazing has not been removed that way and can only have been removed by braking it 'in situ' then pulling the pieces out with small pliars, but why!

GHOSTHUNTER.
There is a possibility that this model never had any window glazing, the girls on the assembly line did not fit the windows. Several such models are known : 24 j Alfa Romeo, 24 K Simca Chambord, 24 L Vespa 400, 80 F Military ambulance and 543 Renault Floride. Do you know any others ?

I seem to remember a Silver Wraith on ebay was without glazing.
