The only problem is you cant display them like cars in a display case,
so they stay most of the time in the dark.

Best place to keep them as the light causes havoc with paper work, more than the models. Kept in folders they are easily accessible for viewing when required.
Mine are kept in plastic draws with a draw to a year. I find these very accessible when required.
Having said that with the amount of paper work you find Gary you would need a library or warehouse!!!

Steve , As posted already July 3rd 2019 in this tread this gives an idea how to store.
As I now must have over a 700 catalogues, at least 250 adverts, at least aprox 40 related to Matchbox, at least a 70 orso Matchbox related Vectiis catalogues and at least 500 Matchbox related magazines (UK Matchbox, MICA, MatchboxUSA etc are not even on these photos) the only way for me to store them is in binders.
This gives you an idea.
Seen by others who said this is probably one of the biggest Matchbox related paper collections in the world.

A bit like Marcel

Pocket cats in the small folders, and adverts inthe 4 ringed folders.

Many of these things could be reproduced and framed for display.
