Does the casting include a makers mark or name on the base? Or perhaps the tooling and machining is consistent with Lesney processes.
Is there a chance it could have been made by someone other than Lesney?
From what I’ve read, it sounds like there was a fair bit of copying from competitors in the late 50’s and early 60’s.
