Colleagues, tell me, was there such a cardboard over the box as in the photo? first time met.

Indeed the idea was for several Corgi boxes to have a header card inserted into the two slots at the back edge. If original and not a reproduction card, that is a very hard item to find and would be a nice item to secure for a Corgi collector.

Yes such card were made for several models.

I had three for late corgi for peanuts within a lot.
Sold them a fortune even without knowing what I was selling. Had to find pictures.

Can someone do a scan of this piece of packaging? I would love to do a reprint and put it on my model. My Mongoose is without an antenna, but otherwise immaculate.

To do a scan of that artwork requires a bigger image to be found because as it is at the moment it is not big enough and at the wrong angle. Having said that I present here a cleaned up version but while it could be resized it will loose definition and sharpness.
