I suspect that's a mistranslation of 'Kater', which curiously not only means 'hangover' but also 'tom cat'. The same is true in Dutch, but how about Afikaans, Numi?

Here's our tan moggy, sadly no longer with us. He adopted us when he was 18 months old and stayed with us for the next 13 years, as you can see he was lord of the manor, he loved his home comforts but was a terror in the local neighbourhood. We still miss him terribly after 8 years but he gave us a lot of joy ( and a few worries).

Sad tale Johnboy,sorry to hear this.These cats simply rip our hearts away when they have gone.All that lingers are those near-to-life memories.

The answer is NO funnily enough.

Quite frankly I think we are all getting a little bit sentimental about our feline friends!!(a key ingredient in haggis)....................oops have i just opened a can of worms????.
