I am now on my VAIO and writing this within minutes of switching it on by the power button. Because it was on battery power, it automatically came out of the sleep mode and powered off completely but this has proven to be of benefit during this test, as I am writing all this within a very short space of time from switch on.

It does seem to be the case that the VAIO with Adblock active for this forum has problems and takes an awful long time to settle down, so I will leave Adblock off for the forum.

I am still puzzled as to why the ABP STOP logo does not show on the top right corner, on this forum, on the VAIO but does show on the MacbookPro

I might be wrong Kev but I think there are different versions of Adblock for Windows, MAC etc..if so, this might be the reason.

I would imagine this is true, but I switched Adblock off on the Macbook and found the VAIO improved.
