Suppose it's a possibility that a medel maker type / expert detail painter was so delighted to get one of the GOLD plated ltd edition models that he wanted to change the boring white interior to a more pleasing finish .I have seen a few restoration paint jobs and more often than not its not difficult to see paint is not original not just because of shade but the bleeding in of lines ,it's not easy to see inside this model due tothe tinting but what I can see looks brilliantly finished and the separation appears faultless .Its def been painted because under magnification I can see a very small globule of the darker tan paint on the edge of plastic interior piece at top of rear shock absorber area,

Vectis have been in touch and say their expert has had a look at the model in question and says they would expect in auction model would bring £100 - £150 but has the potential to do much more and they would be happy to handle its sale.

They certainly will be happy, as they will take a percentage of the final figure it may fetch.

Good idea if you wish to cash it in.As I have said, the photos speak for themselves to those who actually know what Corgi hand made models look like. The only other consideration would be that a TR7 driver would pay more than a diecast collector.........

the above pic seems not to have a chamfered /sloping front to the base ,if thats the case ind its a rectangle shaped like a matchbox then thats another striking difference to the model i have . The windows are also bronzed tint where my model is black/smokey tint . Considering i cant seem to find anything similar it further appears my model may indeed be unique

Is this some kind of "blue & black / white & gold dress" phenomenon?

For me it certainly looks like the front is slanted backwards - if it would be rectangular than the base would appear narrower than the top in a picture taken from an elevated angle. I have no doubt that all three examples shown have the same type of base.
Also, I can't see bronze tinted windows - for me they are clear, with a yellow interior?

The photo you showed on page 1 also doesn't show black/smoky tinted windows? Aren't they blue, just like the ones in the Manzke book?

I still would be interested to see more good pictures of your painted interior...
