Great find Al, I have never seen this variation before, I did have two variations with orange interior as shown below but both had black scoop. The one with maltese cross is hard to find I think.

Thanks Rob, I have always considered orange to be the best looking interior for the Javelin. :D

Very nice Alex and for £12, well, there is justice after all... :D

Wonder if there is any significance of the number '3' on the base, 3rd of Three perhaps!

I was wondering about that myself mate but there is no way of telling if it was done in the factory or not.

Great find mm and it's in superb condition. It would be nice if someone reading this thread has number 1 or 2 or 4....etc

Finally managed to acquire this stunner for my collection and i am sure you will agree that this is a real show stopper and it is the highlight of my collection to date.

This SF#24 Team Matchbox pre production was one of five sold at Staceys Auction House in July last year and was one of many pre pro models from the Peter Smith Collection which was sold off as part of this auction. Peter Smith was a model maker who worked at the Hackney Factory in the early 70's.

A friend of mine won the lot and kindly offered to sell me one. Needless to say I bit his arm off!! As you can see there are a few very obvious casting differences to the standard model including the open section at the front, no filler cap cast on side panels and rear spoiler is smooth.

The problem is.....how can i top this? :?
