I am not convinced about the glazing on the chevy. The windscreen colour does not look uniform across the entire windscreen. I would consider the possibility of smoke damage of other environmental factor like sun light causing the clear glass to discolour. Just a thought, of course it would be better to assess this model in the hand.

...and is the overall colour slightly washed-out, suggesting 'Sun-Fade' perhaps!

I believe that UV exposure can turn clear windows amber over time, in particular on these late England castings.

Have a good look in less exposed areas on the body as it looks a bit faded to me might be as Al and Kev say the result of sunfade

Hi,
thanks all for your comments.
This Chevy-modell actually belongs to my wife.
She bought it in a Intershop in GDR (does this maybe make a difference?).
She says she can not remember this model with clear Windows - she thinks it has always been like on the pictures.
Has anybody ever had a modell with such massive sunfade in the windows?
I´ve never e´seen one bevor.
I will try to make pictures of an area normally covered by the hood.

Hi Ghosty,
after reading this post I must agree with the fact that the Chevy and the Rolls where sunfaded.
Thanks for your help.

Hi,
I have seen a picture of a Matchbox Ford Zephyr police car in the Internet and thought I should have one on my own.
Here´s the result.
