That looks yellow :-) Do you think it left Lesney with chrome?
yes i think it did...i circled areas that still have chrome left on it

still some chrome left on the bumper here

on the bottom of the bumper there is some chrome...and the pinkish area looks like paint covering chrome...so whatever made the chrome go away it couldnt make the paint dissolve

yeah it does look like mustard...but its might be more like the 23 trailer caravan that had blue plastic interior that changed to a mustard like color...i suspect this is the same where the plastic changed color

I'd say your suspicion that something happened to it is right Dan just look at the corrosion on the front axle
must have been dipped in something bleach ??

Dan my big problem with chrome loss is that i would expect to see a lot of chrome loss to the front grill and bumper due to general play wear. The complete loss of chrome on the base however baffles me???? given that even in heavy play this is a relatively protected area and yet there is no evidence of chrome on the base........it just doesn't make any sense to me, am i missing something????

I like seeing these oddities, the more extreme the better :D It looks like it's been subjected to something but the paint looks normal from here :?:

Reg i have to agree, the overall look of the base and grill suggest that something more than general play wear is responsible!!! IMHO
