Hey Ian

I thought that cabinet in the entrance way was the teaser, pricing was reasonable and items looked good, then the shop itself was the right cross and the upper cut! Was so stunned I walked away. Another seller had some Spot Ons that we’re very attractive, but I decided against collection creep even though I was tempted.

The cabinets in the entrance way had some nice stuff that, had I had more funds on me, would have been coming home with me and I think they belong to other sellers. I think the majority of Peter's items are in the rear space. Cabinet 5 was tucked behind the cabinets that ran at right angles to the counter...

I used to love going into his shop (2 doors along from the Market and still carrying his signage), browsing and conversing with him about all manner of toy things. I miss that part of my Melbourne trips now...

Punt paid off! A few chips and a bit of box damage, but overall an awesome lot.

Other arrivals in the last couple of weeks are varied, from very late Production (late 1970's) plastic based models and generic trucks through to a number of French Dinky and Pre-war models.

Firstly the late production stuff, really doesn't deserve to have the Dinky name as at this point they were just trying to generate sales and the heritage back to the 30's had been lost.

Lots of interesting items there. I especially like the promotional Ford and Mercedes lorries.

Is the Mercedes 600 a repaint? I have seen a black-roof variant mentioned, and I do have one which looks original to me although I can't be 100% sure - the black paint has the same textured finish as used on later issues of the Mini Minor.
