Several forums use thumbnail images for all postings and yes, to view the full image it requires a click(s). This was explained to me once that this saves on the amount of data the forum uses (so is a financial benefit) so presumably the clicked picture is sourced from a side host..

I don't know what 'Flavour' phpBB this forum uses but Vanilla phpBB 3.1.x does have an auto resize function.

We are running under 3.0.11. There is an alert in the ACP that a newer version (3.0.14) is available. However, installing it requires access to the website files on the hosting server. the problem is that, not only am I unsure who hosts this site, I also do not not have the website access codes. Those are held solely by Nick.

John has very kindly e-mailed me the 3b box photograph which gave rise to an error message yesterday. It now seems to post correctly:

I have also changed another setting, so the degrading of images noted above should no longer be an issue.

Thanks, works fine now. Here's a bonus photo to test it out, from a trade catalogue. How I would love to have a garage with displays like these!

I have observed that if you click on the thumbnail (and enlarge the pic), you must use the back button to get back to the forum. If you close the enlarged click, you will exit the entire forum. At least that's how it works for me.

That is how it works for everyone so from your end Joe it is working as it should.

Please everybody remember to click on the 'Back' button, arrow or whatever you use to remain on the forum!

Ha ha, it's a stretch Matchbox K17 / K20 that I thought would look good with smaller wheels.
Just not sure what body to fit though and this is as far as I got with it a couple of years ago.
That's one of my problems, I start something and move on to something else
