Not sure what to make of these. They don't look much faster than regular wheels !!
Look at the price - 49 cents. You could buy a whole matchbox car for that sort of money.

More stuff - Matchbox news papers
The first one is actually news print like a proper news paper. As far as I'm aware it was produced in house for employees to know what was happening. First issued in 1968. This is a 1977 copy.
The second news paper is more for the trade to let them know what is coming out or soon to be released

Showing a matchbox in the artwork of those 'Hot Shots' wheel sets is clearly hinting at the slow regular wheel Matchbox models!
