I have never seen any mould number like AxxA before! we posted wheel numbers from a few dozen suspected 1969 production cars on the old forum thread which may have been titled SF64 MG1100 or the one about the hooked bumper sf5s.
My F box trackset SF14 carries what looks like 1 with 8,13 and 20. We found previously that most provable suspected 1969 production came with 4 single or double digit wheel mould numbers, no letters....

When I discovered my #69 Rolls-Royce with the same...A 21 A number, it struck me as strange. I went back into 'BeFora' during the evening and it took me the rest of the night till late looking at the remaining 20 threads in 'Micks Matchbox Superfast Chatroom' because it is so slow trying to navigate the site, as it is bogged down with adverts and 'Flash videos' running, often Two of them on the same screen! it really is a nightmare of a site to use. Saved some other pictures while I was in there, but there are still member's pictures not where they should be and if you don't just stumble upon them, they are lost forever!

Will re-post some of your postings Mick, where you do comment on long term storage of components and I found more wheel mould number information.

I use Google Chrome with an extension (= add-in in IE speak) called AdBlock (43,560 adverts blocked so far). It works a treat with Lefora!

Thank's Hugh, just done that and it certainly has made a difference, been back into 'BeFora' and no adverts and navigation was much quicker, a great tip.

Going back to the #69 Rolls-Royce wheel with...A 21 A number, I have found Two more models, both Rolls-Royce with the same number, so it seems enough were made to be put onto full production models.

Mixed 'Solid' and 'Hollow' wheels on the same model is very common and 'Solid' wheels with the tread pattern, is easily found on models even when the 'Hollow' wheels are in use.

To make matters worse, there are Two distinct tread designs on the 'Solid' wheels, I will try and get pictures of these.

In another thread, "Nearlymint" showed a #53 Ford Zodiac Mk IV, minus the 'Pat App' on it's base, it has 'Solid' treaded wheels but the mould numbers are not as low as I was expecting...F8, E31, E4 & F45.

Here are some more 'BeFora' posts relating to wheel sizes (the Diameter), and mould numbers on the #14 Iso Griffo. There is also a precious appearance of our dear friend Naji ("18power"), in the last post. Naji, if by any chance you are reading this, we all miss you and hope you are keeping safe and well.

I want to go back to the individual cars by looking at the 1969 Canadian catalogue cover detail I posted earlier.

I have added the notes relating to the models shown and what wheels they are wearing, those that can be seen at least, but I have also posted a separate picture of the #62, Mercury Cougar, with the 'Pre-Pro' wheels and wonder if it is the same model shown on the catalogue cover.
