Vielen dank, Thomas! Ausgezeichnet!
Not at all what I was expecting! (My guess was that the stepped glazing unit would be found in the first type box.)
Which version at the rear do you think that is, Antonin? Is it the closer fit or the looser fit?

I expexted a stepped glazing unit in the early models, too.
The stepped ones I found only in my late models (powder blue slide, tow guide, "B" on slide)

Re: number 42 studebaker
Stepped glazing was the last one I thought, as I have pictured them earlier in the discussion. I have pictured them in what I thought the order should be.
I have not tackled the boot area yet as it depends on how good the glazing fits.

It looks like you may well have been correct. (If so, my apologies for doubting you.)nearlymint wrote:Stepped glazing was the last one I thought, as I have pictured them earlier in the discussion. I have pictured them in what I thought the order should be.

Does no one else have a 42b in a first-type box?
Re: number 42 studebaker
I agree with Jason, the stepped glazing was the last, but also the first. I think, the very first glazing was with sharp 90°edge, but the step was short!!!Idris wrote:Vielen dank, Thomas! Ausgezeichnet!

A small slope was added to the short step by second type, then was the slope extended by third type. The last fourth type hat, along the full lenght of the slope, the rectangular step.
Now is the time for Jason to find the first type with short step.

Dis anybody else notice the mint and boxed pale blue 42b that went through Ebay recently (here). ? It fetched US$225.50 (£175 or thereabouts). What was particularly interesting is that it was in the US rather than The Netherlands.
