Hi Dick
I am very ashamed, but I do not have the model without gas cap in my collection.
It is still on my wants list like telephone directory of New York.

Hi Antonin,
I had listed the no interior posts on the old forum, think they were said to be preproduction castings.

Just seem to be a bit lucky with those a that moment, I am still suppose to be downsizing my collection but I have took a wrong turn somewhere.
Seem to end up at toy fairs, carboots and some auctions. :). The more I get rid off, more seem to come back.

Yes my one is the same as yours with mercury only, I think Dan found one as well but I am not sure what the base was.

Hi Jason
if your and my models without studs have the platform with "MERCURY" only, that means it is perhaps the standard model (not prepro, because base plate with "MERCURY" should be introduced later, first was the base plate with "1968 MERCURY") and it should have the code number.

I bet we will never see genuine store bought RW73s WITHOUT gas caps -these are SF only variations and the fact that idris has confirmed that they do not appear in these repected old guides that DID spot SF with no gas cap increases the odds the 2 cars Nick has been told of are lunchbox specials or fakes.

There are not three variations of the bonnet but four variations:

third variation has two studs and sharp corner
