Being an enthusiast of all things TV, Film and general broadcasting, I always wanted those TV models. The nearest I got to having any of them was the Corgi 'Samulson's' Commer filming Van.
So nice to see them being enjoyed by Todays collectors, very pleased you have them Dave and thank's for posting them.

Re: RSSierra's Dinky Additions
I've been looking for a last edition Ford 40 RV in darker blue for ages, but with no luck. A very lucky find especially as in such good condition
Re: RSSierra's Dinky Additions
Yes, a great find, I wasn't expecting to get at reserve. I thought someone would be keen, but I picked up both the Fords for 40 quid and the seller only lived 6kms away so I was stoked.Bako wrote:I've been looking for a last edition Ford 40 RV in darker blue for ages, but with no luck. Images below are of another lot I just picked up. Images were limited to these and I can tell some have been repainted as the axle ends are green. How many and how well is the punt I took, seller listed twice over two weeks with limited interest and basically almost halved his initial asking price when he sent out a fixed price offer after the second weeks listing expired with no bids.
22g tank in the bottom left corner of the 1st two photos has me intrigued, original or copy. Both searchlight trucks seem to be repainted post war models because of the ridged hubs. Austin with window frame, Canteen and water tanker all likely prewar, but repainted? Multiple figures and motorcycles an added bonus. I couldn't pass up the opportunity! More photo's in a couple of days once they have arrived.

Cheers
Dave

Re: RSSierra's Dinky Additions
The military lot above is a mixed bag of original and repainted as expected, the 22g Pre War tank is a copy but a good one with excellent casting features. Overall I'm happy adding this and the two searchlight trucks to the collection.
Here they all are:

6 Wheeled Lorry Canteen and Water Tanker

6 Wheeled Lorry Searchlight Truck and Anti Aircraft Gun

6 Wheeled Lorry and 25 Pounder

Dragon, 18 Pounder and ammo trailer

Partial Dragon set

French Dinky Panhard Armoured Car

French AMX Tank

Pre War Tank Copy, an original wouldn't be fully painted on the inside.

25 Pounder Quad and Limber

Reconnaissance Car

French Dinky US M3 Half Track

Lorry and Howitzer

Lorry and Trailer

Daimler Armoured Cars

Berliet lorry and French Howitzer

Medium Artillery Tractors

Searchlight Lorry

Medium Tank

10 Ton Army truck and Howitzer

Howitzer

Austin Field Car, Motorcyclist and Cyclist

Various Dinky and Non Dinky Soldier accessories

Re: RSSierra's Dinky Additions
A mixture of local bought Swap Meet and US Dublo bulk lot are the new models this week.
Firstly the swap meet finds:
36b Bentley

39e Chrysler Royal Sedan

39b Oldsmobile 6 Sedan

40j Austin Somerset

40b Triumph 1800 Saloon

Copy Chrysler Airflow

Hawker Hurricane

Ford GT40

Bedford Tipper

Dublo Austin Lorry

I've been on the look out for Dublo Dinky models I didn't have and got lucky completing 4 gaps with one lot of six dinky models.
The 4 I didn't have:
Austin taxi

Commer Van

Tractor

Austin Lorry with Black wheels

The non Dublo model in the lot is a RAC Motorbike and Sidecar. This one I also didn't have so whilst the condition isn't the best it will do until another one comes along.

Cheers

Re: RSSierra's Dinky Additions
I've managed to pick up several further lots from a NZ seller who is liquidating his uncles extensive collection, various items of which i have picked up over the last couple of years.
This weeks lots are repaints (which i may strip and redo)
Humber Hawk

2 X Hudson Hornet

Ford Fordor

Austin A105

A diverse military lot, first several Russian vehicles

British production Canon

Dinky Speedwheels Scout Car

Tinplate Howitzer with diecast barrel.

Finally the reason I bought these lots was this little lot of Original and repainted Tekno Ford V8's, Scania and tractor.
Ford V8 Esso Tanker

Ford Tow Truck, tin wheels and missing one hub cap.....Anyone have one in their spares pile I can acquire????

Ford Cement mixer

Flat Truck

Tractor and Plow

Scania Articulated Truck. Average repaint

Finally a taster of some items which will complement some of the military items a couple of posts back....two pre-war, circa 80 year old, Dinky gift set boxes.

More pics when these arrive.

Re: RSSierra's Dinky Additions
Even though I don't collect Dinky, I find this a fascinating, informative, and educational thread. (Lord Reith would approve!)
Thank you for taking the trouble to make and upload these photographs of your latest additions on such a regular basis.

Thanks Hugh!
Re: RSSierra's Dinky Additions
That will be Tony who has slowly been selling Maurice Wooley's collection. I've got a few pieces myself... sadly I never got to see Maurice's collection although I have a photo somewhere of him in his model room... a here it is!RSSierra wrote:I've managed to pick up several further lots from a NZ seller who is liquidating his uncles extensive collection, various items of which i have picked up over the last couple of years.
[Edit... the cabinets step out on the wall behind because that is where the window was in his room!]
