Re: "MATCHBOX" copies etc.
Thank you ''racer'' for adding the pictures here.
Earlier in the thread I featured some Aguti models but it would be nice if you and your friend with the collection could post a listing of Aguti models even if they are not copies of Matchbox as it would be nice to know what else they made.

Thank you for comment my post Ghosthunter:
In the box of each little car of the Aguti collection you can find a listing of the models. The model that I showed is of the later ´70s and at this time the listing was that you can see in this picture. I will send more pics other models.
Regards
Pablo

The list that I showed is of the latest ´70s. Then in the middle ´80s Aguti had agree with Guisval to use Guisval equipment of models that were discontinued in Spain and the listing of Aguti became diffrent. (As you can see in the picture). In this listing there are no one Matchbox copy. We can suspect that "Lamborghini Marzzal" is a Matchbox model but in fact is the Guival model of Lamborghini Marzzal.

Re: "MATCHBOX" copies etc.
Now I show another Aguti copy of Matchbox, the Siva Spyder, in comparison with a true Matchbox. Another time both the models belong to Diego Escobar´s collection. I believe that you can appreciate the fidelity of the copy.

Re: "MATCHBOX" copies etc.
Thank you Racer. They look so closely copied they could have been cast using the same tooling but I don't think there is any official connection between Matchbox and Aguti.

Re: "MATCHBOX" copies etc.
Well, Ghosthunter, that question that you had done is the same many collectors here in Argentina discuss about this. Some say with great conviction that Matchbox and Aguti had a bond, and there is a truck launched by Aguti that show the brand Matchbox in the box. Of course others think that the Agutis are mere copies of Matchbox models. I think that we never will be sure about this.

Re: "MATCHBOX" copies etc.
I have looked but not seen on here one I picked up this week...A Milton copy of Matchbox 31b Ford Fairlane station wagon in yellow with white roof.An obvious Matchbox mould with the same font name on the yellow base changed from MADE IN ENGLAND BY LESNEY to A MILTON PRODUCT and the number erased from the base. I will try and get a pic on later..
