The initial set of Vans that has created this thread really need to stay together as intended from the factory, so please try and keep them together as one lot if they do have to go to ebay.

I totally agree with Idris .Please take note of what he has to say .This is a difficult one.I know there may be a matter of urgency in the need to dispose of these items but it would be better in the long run to maybe except them as a gift....Keep them safe and take your time .There not going anywhere.......Time is a great decider.

I'm damned if I'd risk thousands of pounds worth of rare models with the sharks on E-Bay. Use a reputable auction house, much safer.

If I thought it would help I can put you in touch with the Chairman of the Dinky Toys Collectors Association but feel he will give pretty much the same advice the members here have done already!

Not long ago someone came here and asked for advice on a rare matchbox soap box racer
http://www.vintagebritishdiecasts.co.uk ... ilit=+soap
It looks like it was sold here
https://www.lskauctioncentre.co.uk/auct ... &pn=41&g=1
If you are in a hurry lacy,s have regular sales on a saturday and there do attract high bidders for rare items ,i know i keep getting outbid, they do have specific toy auctions but i think these will sell themselves so my advice if in a hurry speak
to ed crichton at lacy knight scott

Strange that he didn't think to advertise the auction here on the Forum - he might have got even more for it!
