Here is the stunning 'CORGI TOYS' gift set #16, the Ecurie Ecosse race team support transporter, I had one of these and played with it to the maximum. It came with miniature plastic tools and vice, had fantastic front wheel steering, a sliding side door and of course some Grand Prix cars.

Here is something unusual, a Corgi copy but only regards marketing.

This is a box for the 'GORGO JUNIORS' range, very clearly based on 'CORGI Juniors' and just look how close the style of the letters are to 'CORGI'.

Here is the model from that box, clearly not copied from a Corgi toys model.

'GORGO' are from Argentina and pretty unique in being one of a few toy companies to continue making their products from mild steel sheet, (generally called 'Tinplate'), long after most other companies have adopted plastic and or Zamac metal (generally called 'Diecast').

The models tend to be models of Argentinian and I think Italian cars, they have some larger toy cars that are more 'Generic' and they also had a series of 'Space' based vehicles, that is Spaceships with wheels!!

Now that "Gorgo Junior" is funny!

Here's one of the Maxwell models which have also made many copies of Matchbox models. I especially like that not only this model was "inspired" by Corgi but also the box art - the typeface was used in the 1979 to 1981 Corgi catalogues.
Although I am not sure if the Maxwell is a direct copy of the Corgi Juniors as the size of the windscreen and roof is quite different.

Maxwell and Milton of India both used obsolete dies obtained from Corgi, Dinky and Matchbox for their range of toys... I have heaps of them - here's just a few...
