Re: Made in Bulgaria
This medium blue Silver Shadow has joined my collection, "Ritchie" showed his example earlier in the thread, second model along.
This came from the Gaydon Motoring Heretage Centre toy fair, at the weekend just gone, it was priced at £7.50, to me just the 7 squids, and I brought it because it was already open from it's blister card packaging allowing photography to be done while my others can stay minty.

Re: Made in Bulgaria
Awesome! Great catch Ghosty, and also considerably cheap
BTW - what is your opinion on this one?

It's being sold extremely cheap and I'm considering getting it as I have no Rollers that far. I think it's rather rare variation. Recently one with yellow base had sold:

Wasn't interested in it as I ran out of pocket money having spent them on an awesome eBay lot about which I will post later on
I'm considering selling all my worthful mint bulgarian models (the Cortinas and Miuras) or in exchange for a red Miura soon (just on the very top of my wanted list for the bulgarian issues), hopefully it will work out

Hello Racing Freak,
Nice Rollers. I have not seen a yellow-gold base colour on any other Bulgarian model, let alone the Rolls-Royce, the most common base colour is silver-grey then some were painted satin black, so yes, I would say this is pretty rare and needs securing for your collection.
Then one day when you get fed-up with it, it can come and join me

Re: Made in Bulgaria
I did not buy it as I stated (although it reached 27.5 cents in the auction - that's nothing), maybe should of done so then, but I guess I've seen another with yellow base before that also was mint. Pretty much is matter of time another one to show up, so I will keep an eye for you

Re: Made in Bulgaria
A heads up for everyone, back in May I did a trade deal with matchboxtom on eBay and I swapped my two mint Cortinas + a trial Pontiac Coca Cola model for the HTF yellow Rover 3500, he has now enlisted the greeen Cortina and the trial Pontiac, this one is a pretty important model so if someone is interested, this can be your chance to grab it.
Yes motorman - I'm actively getting rid of my Bulgarian models

Hope it's fine that I'm posting links of the active auctions.. I would like to see myself how much would these reach

Re: Made in Bulgaria
All three Rollers in the above picture have missing boot-lids, what's that all about then, is there genuinely a shortage of these components in Bulgaria

No, kids keep destroying them which is shame as the red one is near mint.. plus all of the above Bulgarian models were made in 1983-1984GHOSTHUNTER wrote:All three Rollers in the above picture have missing boot-lids, what's that all about then, is there genuinely a shortage of these components in Bulgaria![]()

Re: Made in Bulgaria
Hello RacingFreak, no, I had not seen that actual EBay entry, but the model is the same as the one I have posted at the top of page 5 in this thread. Price is good, as there is little interest in this model at the moment and presuming the price does not spiral, which I very much doubt, it is a good buy, but shows what a bargain I got with mine at just £7, with it's blister etc.
Than's for bringing it to my attention.
