Great to see. Without brace and the turqouise have only the 2 studs. Hopefully in the near future I find my other models put away to see if I can found more off them. The one with orange rivet has also 2 studs.

We have variations of the base plate apart from the no tow guide and with tow guide.
Base plates can come with two small plates or pips each side near axle supports that keep the axle away from the flat surface.
It can also come with a raised plate or cross member that goes full width.
It only applies to front axle.
Brilliant, Bert! I hadn’t spotted that at all, yet as soon as it’s pointed out it’s obvious (helped enormously by your excellent pictures). It’s also easy to spot from the wear on the front axle, with two narrow shiny sections on the two plate version.

Both my early 30cs (my code 1 and code 4) have the two plates. My tow guide code 10 has the full width cross member. It will be interesting to see whether both bases are on the orange rivet version, the unpainted rivet version, or both.

Here's another go at my list, now covering Bert's three base castings. I've kept the numbering the same, but filled in the new spaces so that we can all tell which variation we're talking about. This makes the list a bit messy but I think it's clear.

The main questions still needing resolution are:

- do 5a and 5b exist? Logically at least one must, but it's possible that both do.

- does 5 exist? In other words, was there a later turquoise issue after the cab wall was changed? Pierkemimi (Kurt) has three turquoise 30cs with the thin cab wall (wow - three!)

- does anyone else have my variation 1, with flared wheel arches?

And, of course, what other variations are missing?

The Houghton catalogue shows the mint green/turquoise/sea green as having unpainted jib rivet and Nick’s table does not list jib rivet finish.

Contributions so far indicate that the jib rivet is painted orange, has thin cab wall and large cab brace.

So, are there two variations of the mint green model, ie painted and unpainted jib rivet?

Over the past 6 years only four have been pictured on the forum but only one had a base view and that showed a painted jib rivet but cab wall and cab brace size unknown.

Dan, if you read this can you tell us what is jib rivet finish , brace behind cab size, two or full plate above front axle details please.

The only other 30c mint green I have seen close up also had the orange painted jib rivet.

So another question is does the 30c mint green unpainted jib rivet exist?
