Nice collection Bob :)

I heard that there was a Heinz model T that was given away to store managers and has the word gherkin spelt wrong on the box. do you know anything about them?. was there any differences on the model? .
The one I have was given to me by the Manager of a Jacksons store around 1978/80 , Sadly it no longer has the box

There is a rare version of the Heinz and never seen it yet. It is to do with the body colour. Mica lists all as 'Pale green, grey body' but first issue was 'grey green body'. I would imagine it would be very hard to see in a photo. A 1000 samples were sent to Heinz with Gherkin misspelt and the tampo in a darker green.

Y29 Walker van is an underrated model often ignored by collectors due to its high plastic content. there are some interesting models to collect though.

The grey canopy model is the trial shot for the "His Masters Voice" livery. The production Lucas canopies can be smooth or lightly textured (mottled) but this is impossible to photograph.
There are versions known with grey tyres, and several trial versions of the "Bread" model, but I don't have any of these sadly.

Very nice collection Bob and I agree with the statement of this model being underrated. Any members without an example of this model should get one, its a cracking little model and the boxes were quite attractive and if I ever wanted a momento of Harrods, it is this model, not a soppy old carrier bag... :D

Some new additions.

Image
Prepro in light blue lacks brake drum assembly and steering linkage as well as bonnet strap detail and race numbers. Lighter seat, no trim (tampo) to radiator grille.

Image
Prepro in darker red than production model lacks brake drums, mirrors, bonnet catches, & racing numbers. It has no copyright date at all on the plastic baseplate (metal on production models). Brown seat.

Image
Model 'T' as the all primrose examples, incomplete copyright date (197) and no Y No.

I have a few to pick up at Sandown, including the Y16 Packard Dietrich that became the Y15 Packard Victoria. Looking forward to going over it with a magnifying glass.
