Now you just hang on there a minute Mr Gerrit, One of those #24c's is the rare 'Trim-Strip' version, I don't want you splashing some old paint all over that one, worth some Money is that one, you know...!

Wow you are correct! I didn't notice that variation, nor did I know it existed.

Yes Reg, pretty good description. For the benefit of new members and for MBXPilot, have a little read here...viewtopic.php?f=8&t=1170#p7402

Yes please Logan, if you could just post what letter and number you find on the inside face of each wheel and note if the wheel is solid with or without tread (tread pattern only appears on the shoulder of the tyre, not across the footprint), and if the wheel is hollow with or without tread pattern, thank's.

I have also been looking in on your 'Blog' and I saw some nice restorations you have done and some more Rolls-Royce models, please do bring those to this forum when you can, we have a good restoration thread under the "Tinman" tag and thank's for providing a link to Nick Jones Matchbox website, very kind of you.

Ok let's see here...

Lighter red/pink car: Tires are solid, and appear to not have tread. Rear wheels are 22 and 23. Front left is 37, and the front right is HOLLOW and #M47. That's rather interesting, isn't it?

Darker red car: Tires are all solid, and have a bit of shoulder on the bottom. Rear tires are 5 and 17, front are E02 and 3.

What do all these interesting numbers mean? Is the first car with the one different wheel an error?

And thanks for checking out my blog! It's just easier to keep track of and share all my projects there. I did have a small thread going here for my restorations. Once I get done with this job training and figure out where I'll be moving to, I will hopefully be able to set up my workbench soon and get cracking on the restorations again.
