I spent most of this afternoon replacing butchered axles and crimping new axles for the Chryslers, Tankers and Tractor below.

Those repaints are the life work of Maurice Wooley, of Palmerston North, who passed away earlier this year. Maurice was a founding member of the New Zealand Model Vehicle Club Inc in 1969 (of which I'm a member) and as mentioned elsewhere on this site, his collection was passed to his nephew a couple of years ago. Sadly the nephew appears to be selling it all off via TM (albeit expensively)...

Thanks Ian for the background, I thought someone here would have knowledge of these as there are too many being listed for them to be anonymous. The painting is good quality, I am glad to be adding them to my collection.

I agree the initial pricing is quite high, but it comes down quickly to "reasonable" levels when they don't sell. There is a few originals starting to be included in the mix too, of which I have picked up a number over the weekend. More to come too I would say given the pictures of Maurice's display cabinets on the other thread

Well I've indulged myself again. Just purchased the lot below, it was quite an exercise pricing this lot to see if it was worth it. I believe it is (with quite a plusage) and will be picking it up on the weekend, if I can resist the temptation to pick it up sooner The odd missing minor part, flap or box lid, but these are on average circa 40 years old. More pictures to follow:

Thanks for the comments Shane. I am enjoying being able to add all of these to my collection, uploading and sharing the photo's helps me keep track visually and for insurance purposes of what I have.

How and where do you come across such nice models so regularly?

Very impressive additions and a fast rate of growth! The Altlas DB5 looks like a very acceptable substitute at a considerable cost saving on a boxed original. BTW the Dinky Holden is an EJ (which came after the EH) not an EK!
