Thank's Don, here is your Mint Green crane underside and I was hoping to see a plain rear section minus the long brace, sadly yours has the brace, so don't make plans for retirement just yet...

I think you're missing the point here, Kevin. This is not simply a mint, green 30c crane. Those are the key words!
We are finding a number of Lesney products with not quite stable 'Time-Lines' and I think we all have to accept this when studying our models.
A prime example is #44A, Silver Cloud. It has always been thought that models with Silver-Grey wheels were issued towards the end of production. Casting details of the models themselves says otherwise. Grey plastic wheels separate the Silver-Grey models into Two distinct issues of the model and until I had found this out, the 'Time-Line' for this model was dis-jointed, once the Silver-Grey wheels had been sorted into the Two batches (separated by Grey wheels), the 'Time-Line' fell into place more smoothly!
This is a result of stocks of bodies used at different times or Two batches of Silver-Grey wheels.
Old stock castings being put back into production is very common within the 'Models of Yesteryear' range.

Ghost hunter did you buy yours individually or in a set. I have checked my resource books and the original model had green paint and chassis.
A body and A base . released in Aug 1965. This model was produced later with A body and B chassis, painted mint green body or turquoise and released in the G-6 gift set in 1966-67.
My set was complete and purchased from Woodwards store in New Westminster, B.C. Canada. According to Mick Stannards book it was s done for the gift set. It was not one of the first models produced in1965 and is listed as produced with A base and B chasis.

I don't actually have examples of this crane, but I like to see hard to find models when members bring them to the forum and its always wise to see all sides of a model in case there is a surprise for us. Knowing this casting was at one time minus the rear brace, its wise to check every casting that comes our way on the forum because it is becoming increasingly well known stocks of castings at Lesney are often not used in the order of their production !
