Old store stock found in attic.
Re: Old store stock found in attic.
Curtis even has his own mcch facebook page. He runs that with the same oppressive style as his forum, if you can even call what he does as "running" a forum, more like ruining a forum! Strangely enough, "facebook" is a censored word on his web forum, so members can not even discuss cross topics (go figure).
It might be time to start my "Bucket List."

Re: Old store stock found in attic.
I was quite surprised when I looked at Alexia the web stats company statistics for my site and Mark's.
About a year ago I was listed as the 3 millionth busiest site where Mark was listed at 800,000.
Now I have gone up to 1.9 million position and Mark is at 1.7 million.
Interesting to see I am now the 41,999 busiest site in the UK,

I don't know what all those people are looking at over there. All the posts have dried up and most forums only have a few old stale posts. His vintage Matchbox forum is dead, then comes the most interesting post there in literally years and what do they do ... they close and lock the thread!!!!

Hi all, dose anybody know if the collection has been sold it seems to have gone quiet on this topic Pete
Re: Old store stock found in attic.
Yes, the mcch forum is where the person handling the collection was posting and, as mentioned, they have closed and locked out any further discussion or information. Unless the person in charge of handling the sale finds another forum, we will all just have to keep an eye out for this massive find of vintage new old stock. My guess is that they will sit on them until after the new year (and all the holidays are over) and then make a move.petethesweet1 wrote:Hi all, dose anybody know if the collection has been sold it seems to have gone quiet on this topic Pete

Re: Old store stock found in attic.
Does the MCCH thread contain enough information to be able to work out in which mill the models were found? (I've just had a look on MCCH but cannot find the relevant thread.)

No unless you live in the area and recognize the photo of the mill which was posted at my request.Idris wrote:Does the MCCH thread contain enough information to be able to work out in which mill the models were found? (I've just had a look on MCCH but cannot find the relevant thread.)

No Mick, that was the picture I posted to ask for a reply. Please scroll futher down in the MCCH tread about the Bronner letter opener to see the owner's reply with a photo of the actual buildings. Red wood and a terrefic watermill. Not the windmill.Moyboy wrote:I would say that its the Old mill on Prospect St. Nantucket Island - anyone else think so - Google it on the maps.
