I understand Bruce's position here in needing to sell these in a quick and tidy manner. If anyone here needs a particular model with or without box that he has shown, simply contact him quickly with an offer that is genuine and serious on any ONE of them. This is another Gary from Newfoundland situation where Forum members have first offering on some 'Mint bargains' for their collections. I personally have exhausted this month's 'hobby $$' at our local toy show yesterday. It is now up to you guys NOT to discourage Bruce in the sale he already has underway, but to entertain his sincere offers to we Forum members. He wants to help us as genuine collectors. If any of us buy a couple of models for re-sale, Bruce really doesn't care. Take it for the Gift it is Please!
For what it is all worth Bruce, individual models will sell better on their own as said by all above. Putting 'Buy it Now' Prices on each one of your models individually will really help them sell quicker. If I need that Aston Martin as an upgrade, (as a serious collector) I will not buy the other 3 to have it. Everyone wishes only to help you along here, so Welcome to the 'Nuthouse' you have created by showing us your treasure chest of early Mokos from Dad's store. Truly another once in a lifetime offering of one owner originals fresh out of a closet shoebox. Thank You Bruce!.......Caveman kwakers from upstate N.Y. , U.S.A.

scummie wrote:As for the pictures that is an Ebay problem they wont show the full resolution, which is why i said if you need better photos message me. Bruce
No, it's NOT an ebay problem. The problem is all on your end. Lots of sellers (including me) have no problem putting closeup large pics in their listings. You need to take close up photos and not be so far away with the camera. Spend a couple of minutes cropping each photo. You can also place larger photos in the item description using simple html tags.

Here is one of your photos that I simply cropped:

Imagine how nice this photo would be if you got a close up and cropped the image. You asked and now collectors are telling you exactly what they want to see in a listing, what to do to sell to them. I would take as much of the advice as possible and make the most out of your efforts, it will increase your bottom line.
Have you even read my previous messages? I get what you guys are saying but I need to move them. Cropping the photo here and not uploading to ebay is a false positive. Why didn't you give this info before I listed as in advice? I appreciate your concern as a collector but if its such a good deal buy it. Kwakers put it nicely I thought.

Yes, I'm sure we have all read all of them. And understood them too.
You seem to be getting upset with us for offering you advice, when all we are doing is trying to help you get the best return. Nobody is having a go at you, but collectively we have many years of Ebay experience to offer and find it frustrating that you seem to be fighting us over things that are - to most of us - quite basic.
I get what you guys are saying but I need to move them.
So you keep saying, without giving us much of a clue as to why. It is probably none of our business, but if you are looking for advice, the more we know about your circumstances the better that advice will likely be.
Cropping the photo here and not uploading to ebay is a false positive.
Not following you here. Tinman has shown you how your existing pictures can be made better - and how your future pictures should be taken and cropped. He certainly can't upload them to eBay for you! If you right-click on the image Tinman created you can save it to your computer and then do with it as you like.
Why didn't you give this info before I listed as in advice?
Would you have listened, since your word view regarding auctions seems to be so different to ours.
I appreciate your concern as a collector but if its such a good deal buy it.
The auction price is only one element in our decision making process. Few international collectors (the bigger market for you) will 'make an offer' unless you are a lot more open about postage costs. So I ask again, how much would you change to post one car in its box - well wrapped in a sturdy mailing box - to the UK or America?
Kwakers put it nicely I thought.
He did. And as far as I can see most other people have too. That we are critical of the way you have gone about this auction is not a criticism of you - it is a genuine attempt to help you get the most money for your collection as possible. The advice to cancel the auction and relist each of the five models separately is about the best you'll get.

Over and out.

The number one thing that buyers look for is good, crisp, close up photos and several of them featuring all angles of the model. The better the photos, the higher people will bid. Iffy pics = lower bids beacuse too much is uncertain. My reworking your photo is a simple and quick example of how to reduce the file size and feature only the models. The rest is up to you. Again, you asked, we responded. What you do with the posted information is your business. The average member here is looking for the hard-to-find, rare or unusual models. No offense intented, but you are not likely to spot those or look them up in the online catalog ... so, the only way for people to find them is with really sharp close up pics and lots of them.
It might be time to start my "Bucket List."
