Yes the good old CF...This was from the COOP and came in light blue till I sprayed it with a Humbrol little spray gun..I may have brush painted the dark blue....This had the added bonus of a cam belt that used to fly off just when you wernt expecting it..I was an expert at setting the timeing and popping the belt back on with out leaveing the cab and getting wet...My next car was my MK2 Ford Consul that I totally rebuilt out of a wreck I bought of a super market car park and one I picked up for spares.....That got stolen in 1981 and I hav'nt had a car I have actualy chosen since they have all been spur of the moment give aways and cheap odditys..

I remember seeing the Consul in one of your early posts at the start of this thread, super colour, was it original.

No,was a dirty white colour when I got it..Had it resprayed Monza red then it was sadly stolen....After the Consul was my wifes Viva HC and next a Yellow Victor Transatlantic..Had quite a few Vauxhalls over the years....1983 brought my first and only brand new car,a Renault 18 Diesel as a Taxi on City Cars in Manchester....That lasted a year and was worn out with 120.000 miles on the clock.

I had this car in High School. Mine was Silver in color and had a 540 Cubic Inch Milodon aluminum full race engine putting out just under 800 horsepower. I was a senior in high school when this pic was taken.
I had it for 25 years and only had 18,000 miles when I sold it in 2000. I am thinking of getting it back as I know the owner and it is as sold still.

You did not tell us what the car is Jim, but to me it looks like a Pontiac Firebird 'Trans Am' and very nice as well but with all those Cubic Inches under the bonnet, well, not many bystanders will see it will they, goes by so fast... :D

It is a 1975 Trans Am. I got it for graduation and had an immediate engine and suspension swap. It was by far the fastest and quickest car I have ever driven. 1/4 mile time 9.8seconds at 178 miles per hour and top speed radar tracked was 202 miles per hour.

For those that don't know, 9.8 seconds for the 1/4 mile in the 1970's is very fast and still a respectable time today!
