Hello Hugh.
Thank you for your interest in this model.
A Matchbox collectors always on the lookout for Interesting models.
I like to have a perfect order in my collection.
Therefore must have its proper code number of each model.
(lt. Nick's list)
Interesting to find a new code.
But I also understand that's a long way.
Collectors Greetings
Mike & Nico.

I think the lighter green bus may be the gem here.
Are the moderators agree,
if I start a new page by following this
dark-green 74b Daimlerbus?
In: Lesney Matchbox regular wheels 1-75
I think the model should be further discussed.
thank you Mike

Most certainly worthy of further discussion!
What a GREAT find. And the whole time you thought it was the darker one that was the odd-ball...nice surprise!
So this could very well be a color trail? Or maybe they just wanted to use up the John Deere color?
If in fact it IS the JD color. To me the color looks brighter than the tractor, but perhaps it's the photo?
Congratulations on this seemingly awesome find Mike

Idris wrote:The NAMC’s “Catalog of all Series Matchbox Models” (first edition) .....notes two shades of green body: light green and green. (If I recall correctly, Kwakers has mentioned this previously but we have yet to see a photograph showing the difference.) Nick has only one green model listed at variation code 7.
Please start a thread, Mike. We need to get this sorted out.

Hello Mike,
nice lot!
#44 Rolls with grey (or silver?!) plastic wheels is harder to find.
I think spw are slightly harder to find as gpw.
Very nice,
Linus
