Thank's Dave, its good to be back, the forum helps me to focus on my life as it stands at the moment and I love model cars too much to just walk away from it all.

Just got an order cancellation notification and refund on the prewar lot on the previous page, reason given seller no longer has in stock or the item is broken. I can't express how p'ed off I am......
No contact from seller directly! How can eBay let sellers back out of a contract......Gob smacked. The icing on the steaming pile this trade has become is that I also incur the exchange rate fluctuation whilst they've screwed me over and I get refunded less than I paid. Gonna take me a while to calm down on this one.

Dave, what a blow!!!
Any chance the guy selling them saw your posting and comment, which prompted Him into thinking he has something a bit more special than just old toys!!

Maybe worth checking past sales from the seller, possible they sold the same lot twice. May have been a listing error, it has happened to me before. J

This is quite possible. E-Bay sellers, and sellers in general, are getting wise to sites like this, and sometimes in our excitement we are our own worst enemies! Mine and Jason's posts have crossed, I was referring to Kevin's point.

Ah Dave, What a wounder!
Wonder if it was an autorelist ? Is it even possible to relist the same thing twice?

Thanks Guys
Yes, I had concerns around both possibilities raised above. The listed twice scenario is the one that I discovered using the same closed auction search methodology in Hugh's post above. That in itself I could have possibly understood had the seller communicated and potentially apologised. I still wouldn't have been happy, but mistakes happen. However, I contacted the seller to seek an explanation and they advised that "the owner was unable to locate the items and thought they may have donated them". (That's the entirety of the response, no Hi, no sorry...Very succinct)
Aside from the fact who donates 80 year old toys and forgets about it within a short time of providing, photographing and listing am item? As Hugh's links show above it is very easy to track closed and sold items.
Moving on.....a bit grumpier than usual.
Cheers
Dave

A few more to clog the shelves:
Dinky Petrol Pumps
Oil Bars
I've added another Ruston Bucyrus to may collection. I now have four....who said I have a collecting problem. Amazingly this is the best condition one I have but which I spent the least to acquire. I need to restring the bucket release but that's it with this one.
Mk2 Foden
Fire Engine Ladder Truck
Commer - best condition Commer truck and trailer I have, shame it is missing the stake side and cover.
Water Tanker - Pre War
Cheers

Hi Dave,
I love the Micro Models Commer, I'm still after one of the artic tankers or the Bedford Bus.
My Dinky Commer artic's missing the stake sides too mate, I had a mint boxed set years ago, but it's sadly long gone.
Great stuff again mate!
