Unfortunately not JB, Nick doesn't mark his customs in any way to my knowledge. A less knowledgable collector could be easily fooled hence my previous post about its origin.

The model creations from Mr Stil have not yet reached collectable status in the same way as genuine factory finish models have and they are unlikely to until Mr Stil marks his creations for what they are and makes them as Limited Editions marked as...'In the Style of'.

Until then his models have to be seen as models designed to look like Preproduction models aimed at collectors under the premise they are genuine, but they are not.

Kevin, I think you are being too generous and overly kind in your phrasing about the status of Nik Stil's creations. To customize a model into something rare or hard to find, while at the same time taking extreme care to leave NO trace of any tampering or modification ... well, there is a name for that.

Some time ago this was the alleged answer to whether models were marked:

"under the front hood or rear plastic section under the seats ,can be easily seen by collectors when they buy the models and also from serious collectors who pay much money for a ''prepro'' model and always they test the models with magnifiers ,paint tests etc"

Sounds as much use as a chocolate tea pot
