Hello Mike and Nico.
I would not waste too much time looking for a BLUE #24c Rolls-Royce, it was NOT made on full production as a blue version, blue only put on the box.

Hello Mike,
Hi Nico,
very nice line up's of your Caravans, Rolls-Royce's and Lincoln's (actually I have no idea if this is the correct plural
)
I would not waste too much time looking for a BLUE #24c Rolls-Royce, it was NOT made on full production as a blue version
Ghosthunter, you as a Rolls-Royce expert: Are pre pro's known?
Some years ago I saw an interesting RW lot in German Ebay: It was a carry case full of superb (mint) Regular Wheels, and also a metallic light blue 24c.
It looked like the colour that was used for the #53 Zodiac, maybe a bit deeper blue.
I could swear I saved a picture, but I can't find it til now.
Without digging out an old topic, it would be great to have any information of a blue 24c Rolls-Royce!
Greetings,
Linus

Hello Linus.
Very little is known or has been recorded about the BLUE #24c Rolls-Royce. An example was photographed for an article compiled by Lesney's master model maker, Mr Ken Wetton in a British model magazine, but the pictures were in Black and White, but in the article, Ken states the colour of the new Rolls-Royce has not been decided yet. The artwork on the first box as shown by "Mike" above in his posting was also based on the Blue 'Pre-Pro' and one other picture exists in an early pocket catalogue showing a blue model sitting on a table with other Lesney models.
There are blue examples in existance but they are on later castings with 'Tow Guide' baseplates, which were not on the first castings for #24c, so presumably these later models are code 3 status (repainted by previous owners).
