Thank's Steve, that's a nice little collection you have shown, any chance of seeing or noting down the brand names or logos involved with them, thank's.

Thank's Steve.

The Silver Ghost was made by 'UNIVERSAL MANUFACTURING Co. LTD', in 1974, coming to the UK during 1975 and was sold through the 'Marks & Spencer' chain stores.

Three more 'Yesteryear' inspired models were in the range.

It was used as a Promotional model in 1976 for the 'UNION' Petrol company in some American states and came in it's own unique window box.

It looks like somebody has added Black paint to the running boards treads.

The dragster is from 'ESTETYKA' who made many copies of commercially available models. Several Matchbox models are featured in their range.

Then of course the 'MAXWELL Mini' models, crude copies of current (then!), Corgi, Dinky and Matchbox models.

Motorman, from what I have in my collection of copies I think nearly every model from most series has been copied by some manufacturer somewhere in the world.
I don't know how widespread it is with other brands as I don't collect them. From being a member of this forum I know Dinky and Corgi had some models copied but I don't know if it was to the same extent as Matchbox or as far back as Matchbox with some copies being done in the early 60's. I guess it's because Matchbox was such a successful brand.

It appears Matchbox had ties with BP while Blue Box had ties with Shell.
Look at the MB69 Security Truck with the additional stickers on it in the top right hand corner picture!

You will notice the Packard Landaulette # WT-232, has been made as an open car, which then was copied by several Hong Kong companies in soft plastic and they made a separate detachable roof section for it, as shown by the set below.
