Managed to get over the Windsor toy fair, very quiet but did manage to pick up this cracker below.

I was hoping to go there for the first time today but site politics put a stop to that maybe next time

Hi Reg,
The model was in a tray with a band holding it to the box, near to a standard model. Both models were the same price so I assume he did not know what he had.
Sorry to hear about the site politics Reg, maybe we will catch up one day. I have a couple of very used Lone star models that need a home.

hi, could just be me, but why is this diffrent from the standard one, what am i missing

Hello Jeff
Note the gap between the rear fender and the running board/ tool box. Only the first casting has this gap. This was later filled in so the running board and rear fender are continuous.

Happy hunting! I have never seen the first casting with the gap in 25 years of collecting (except on line).

lol, what a lemon, its stareing me in the face, i just did not see it, this old age sure takes some getting use to, thanks for the insight matchboxfreak, i off to spec savers lol, a great looking model
