tried to buy 30 cars $225(BIN with $5-9 ea shipping)from a multiple site , they only pay pp 3% but refused to charge correctly for $18 shipping and wanted $135, 1/2 off for US to US mentioning that here has prompted them to offer free shipping but BIN pricing went up 20% over shippingMiller wrote:I seldom buy in GB due to the horrendous shipping costs. I can send this book to you for 3,70 Euro, but this seller asks more than three times this sum! I guess, he is tired of answering questions about this ridiculous costs.
As i have two ebay shops, i´m forced to offer paypal, but i hate it! As i mostly sell out of the EU, they bite 5.2 % of the sale. We got 19% VAT, 10% eGay fee and 5.2% Paypal, which means 34,2 % of an asking price is gone before it comes to me.
Bank transfers are mostly free in Germany, so that may be a reason, why we prefer that.
I have found that as a buyer, international bank transfers are exceedingly expensive. Having been caught out once buying from a German seller who refusd to use paypal i will never use bank transfers again. Unfortunately the model i purchased from this seller was one i had been after for many years so i didnt want to miss out. I have only ever had issues with German sellers in the regard, fortunately i have now many great friends on this forum who have kindly offered their assistance with my German purchases so problem solved.Miller wrote:
