They both came from different dealers and one is gpw and the other is spw with crown

Amazing finding two of these, I don't recall ever seeing one :D I can't see a crown though.

These are errors (oopsies, if that's the plural) but what would the dividing line be between an error and a negative variation?

Sorry to say this, but the back is easily popped out of these, so I don’t think they’re factory errors. The traders have just put the backs in upside down, probably to replace missing parts. The wear on the right hand one shows this clearly - you couldn’t wear all the paint off the edge of the back but leave the paint on the body in relatively good condition. I presume one of these models has a crown on the sides but the back from a later model without the crown has been added.

Of course, good point Glenn. I didn't look closely enough, I thought the decals were upside down rather than the removable backplates being upside down :oops: But you didn't answer about the plural of oops :D

Sorry John - you're quite right: I focused on the detail and ignored the important question! What is the plural of oops? I'd have gone with oopses but oopsies is definitely a strong contender!
