Thank's Alex.
It's very difficult contemplating my new life without Him. We were best friends and shared a few hobbies like Steam fairs, classic car shows, photography, Scalextric racing and going to toy fairs. None of these will have the same feeling to me any more, but I will have to try and come to terms and re-focus my life and carry on with some of those interests, knowing he would want me to do so. He was very proud of my Rolls-Royce collecting interests and model collection. He loved going out in the real Rolls-Royce, it made Him feel very important and he loved telling strangers that that Yellow Rolls-Royce was His Son's!
I am off to visit Him again this evening and may have to stay the night with Him if he is still the same as he was earlier Today.
Kevin.

Sunday 8th January, 2017. Kenneth Bailey, Father, best friend and the best Dad in the World to me, has passed away around early afternoon while still in Hospital.
I had actually visited him earlier in the morning because the Hospital phoned me to say he had deteriorated and when I saw him he was asleep, not responding to my voice and had a breathing pattern I had seen before and I expected him to perk up later when awake as he had done before. I left the Hospital to catch a shop open where I could buy a Birthday card for him having not done so before because of the uncertainty, but when it looked like he would make it to Monday the 9th, his Birthday, I decided I would get one. This gave me the chance to pop Home for a bit of lunch as well. I was moments away from leaving Home to go back to the Hospital when they phoned me with the bad news he had passed away.
Thank you all forum members for your thoughts and best wishes. I will be away from the forum while I sort things out, thank's Guys.
Kevin.

Sincerest commiserations Kevin. You'll have lots to do now, which will take precedence. But know that we will all appreciate seeing you here when you have time to pop in.
