I wonder why they picked this Matchbox model to copy, and why they made such a good copy? I have seen some pictures of other models they made, and this is they only one I found that looks like a Matchbox model.

Picked up a few new ones yesterday, to add to my growing collection.

Nice batch of Dinky Toys there Bob. The refuse truck looks good and if the bus is only discoloured with age may well clean up for you. The Models of Yesteryear Rolls-Royce is from the 1976-77 production period and one of many variations to collect of this particular model.

Looks like it could be nicotine staining on the bus. (If so, isn't there something about cleaning with ammonia to get the original colour back?)

I finally got around to cleaning up the bus.To my disappointment, it wasn't nicotine on it, it was paint. After cleaning it off as best I could, I found a very play worn patina. I think I will leave it alone, and not do a repaint, as I kind of like the looks of it. Some kid must have had many hours of play with this one!
