Well, I have to agree with TJ's estimate of a lower starting price. Dick, don't forget, the price is Pounds Sterling so that means the starting price is just under $1,500 USD. The last rarity I bid on was a 30b tan crane with orange boom and I was knocked out when it went over 2k (USD). I've considered bidding on this one and the only thing stopping me is I would have to arrange for someone to pick it up and then forward it on to me. That's quite a bit to ask of someone, especially if the buyer wants cash, then more logistics come into play. So, I'll just watch from the sidelines and go back to dreaming of a find like this.

Do forum members want to read all the old posts from 'Lefora' about the earlier glazed #23c Caravan models.

More Forum members might be interested in "Saving" this example with Ghosty's plan if they would just read the story about the German collector who bought the last one off E Bay. He then willingly drilled out it's original window unit, sold the pre-pro Caravan less window unit to Tim for a mere 20 pounds, and then placed that rare glass unit in a Minty Caravan to sell as an original pre-pro Caravan at a mere 6000+ figure.......
OOPS! Who would have guessed, that Caravan is no longer listed in that Dealers Store right now. I might have been able to give everyone an E Bay Item number if it were still listed there for sale.......Does anyone here on our Forum have the Item number of that faked "ORIGINAL"(LOL :D  ;) ??) windowed Caravan. kwakers

I have now re-posted all the postings about the #23c Caravan with windows from our previous 'Lefora' forum. Not all the forum members are now available for further comments and none of the links are active.

Excellent work here Ghosty! My stomach turned tonight as I read that complete Post about Hardy and the first pre-pro glazed Caravan this same Seller sold on E Bay 2 years ago. It is really sad re-living the ruining of that Lesney historical artifact, it brings back nightmares of collector misconduct and fakery. I sincerely hope the 2nd windowed Caravan that is now being offered by this same Seller does not suffer the same fate as that one did at the German's hands. But, he with the deepest pockets always wins the prize.....Let's hope not this time around. :( kwakers

Well it closed at £1000 with 1 bid. I was surprised there were only around 30 watchers at the end, let's hope it's going to a good home.

Glad this caravan sold. This would be considered a good-buy if the buyer is from the Uk.For overseas buyers it would have cost both arms & legs due to the poor exchange rates.basically economically unviable.
