Thank's Hugh, does seem to be returned stock that has then been priced up for retail. Pencil prices can be found on many of our models from the very early Days of the Two main Lesney product ranges, right through to the transition to 'Superfast' wheels.

Interesting 32c Aral
Re: Interesting 32c Aral
The price is right for the time and so that would fit, also if some were returned from certain overseas markets for whatever reason then that would also fit, would also tie in with the SF version I found at swapmeet in late 70's as I remember being amazed to see it there at the time.Idris wrote:I'm back home now and so am able to look.GHOSTHUNTER wrote:Can you determine what the price is Hugh.
The price is very clearly 2/3. Putting this into context, the price of Matchbox cars immediately before decimalisation (on 15/2/71) was just under 3/-. (They were 15p after decimalisation.) I think this could therefore de a normal retail price since, if it were being resold by a collector, a significant mark-up could be expected.
