A bit disappointing with the lack of entries this year compared to the first poll, I thought we had found a lot more stuff than this
Maybe some of the newer members are a bit embarrassed about what they have, I know a lot don't post much, come on today's the last day to show off your treasures in a fun way :D

Owing to the small number of entries, I have put the closing date for submissions back to this Friday.

This is by far my best find of the year---a 30c in turquoise. The fuel for the 5 hour round trip cost more than the model did, a bargain at $5.00!

Nice one pkp448! With a model like that one shown here, I am afraid anything I bought this year would just seem like a 'common'. It was a good year for both our hobby and the models we found, but nothing this year to compare with Nick's 23B in green that both he and I got to share as our favorite find of 2013.
The model that meant the most for me to buy this year is in fact an R & D factory paint trial RW model that was also used for stress testing it's first castings. It is way too ugly to be shown anywhere, but it always brings a smile to my face. (Kind of like some girls way back in our past.... ;) .....LOL Sorry Numi)
Greg's display also brings back tons of memories for me of my childhood and beyond favorite toy hunting trips. My vote would have to be split between Greg's Bronner display, pkp448's Turquoise #30 Crane, and Dave S's wild new old stock Moko find. Can I log 1/3 a vote for each after the contest closes?? I would never be able to choose a favorite between these three.

I have had lots of finds this year,my top four would be my red early crawler,red wheeled roller ,prototype gully truck and the timpo bishops artic,so after thinking about it i decided by the likelyhood of finding another so by that logic my choice is;

pre 70s lesney gully truck
non lesney pre 1970 bishops timpo artic
non lesney post 1970 lone star firenza

This is my find of the year:
A Fire Set, made in the late 60's for the Simpson Sears Company, the Canadian branch of Sears.
It includes six rescue themed Regular Wheels and one King Size, as well as a cardboard ramp, a cardboard parking attendant hut and a lot of cardboard road signs.
At first glance it looked like a plastic carry case, but it's all cardboard. It can be converted into a parking garage by turning the box upside down and sticking ramp into the slit. I found it in an antique shop in Canada.

Hello Kay, I remember this and we had a lot of discussion on this with "Matchboxmarcel" and it still looks good.

The biggest and best finds for me this past year must be the #69c Rolls-Royce with the Tan coloured base and the Two Firenza models at £7 each from 'LONE-STAR'.

The Rolls-Royce was one of the very few 'Holy Grail' models in my collection and it has taken Years for one to come my way and I am very pleased with it. This particular colour was not used for very long on this model, making it very 'Hard To Find'.

The Firenza models are superb, really stunning little models and very accurate representations of the real car. This is what you get when you, as a major toy company, is allowed to work closely with the actual car company you are making the models for!

The Firenza has turned out to be one of the most wanted models in the 'Flyers' range, despite many colours being issued and with the odd 'Promotional' model, there are still not enough good, let alone mint examples, for all the collectors chasing them and when they do come up for sale, they command premium prices!

This one for the superfasts has to be the highlight, Maserati with a metallic green base.
