#5 Lotus Europa JPS arrived this morning.
Described in the listing as good condition with a photo in which the model was covered in dust and grime.
The gamble paid off!!! I cleaned it up and Bingo it's a minter. Unfortunately no box for the moment. Unusually all the wheels are 5 spk square except the front right wheel which is a standard 5 spk wheel!!!! a little odd.
Now i need one with Dot/Dash wheels!!!!!

Yes motorman,
the same case I found on one of my Javelins. According Christian they sometimes mixed it up, as the wheels look very similar.
But nevertheless a very nice one you got

I love those dusty, grimy models.. usually underestimated by their sellers, it's great cleaning them up and uncovering the treasure underneath!
Well done Alex, an absolute beaut, made more appealing by the unusual "odd wheel out"!
Happy hunting + best of luck,
Ken

Also in the post this morning and yet another example of a seller who could not be bothered taking a good enough photograph for their listing (a blurred long distance shot with no close ups) resulting in me ending up with a bargain for £5 and free postage!!!!!!. A minter #31 Lincoln Continental.
Who's the Daddy!!!!

Wow, what a day i have had!!
I decided at the last minute to go to the Falkirk Swap meet and i am so glad i did!!!!
Whilst there i was a little disappointed with the lack of Matchbox on show. I noticed this elderly chap selling a lot of Railway stuff however he had a dozen or so standard SF's and Corgi rockets on his table in average condition with a small sign £2 each. Seeing nothing that interested me I asked him if he had any others and low and behold from under the table he produces a shoe box "
I have a few others if you want to look £2 each but i will take offers"
Thinking i had nothing to loose i had a look and again did not see anything of any interest until that is i got to the bottom of the box and there it was.
"I
quite like this" i said, "
Will you take £1?"
He took my pound coin and off i walked with a rather large smile on my face. I went home after that as there was no way i could top this buy!!
A very nice SF#33 Yellow with tow guide in excellent condition.
Has anyone got a Red Script box for sale????
