I think you could be correct about it Hugh, it has a home assembled look to it and is quite heavy for it's size.... As Nick said amodel train accessory kit, I N gauge maybe, not well versed in train scales

I agree with "Idris" on the 'Fire Engine' being a White metal model, in the hand I could confirm this, I have a lot of experience of White metal modelling. The #69 'Drop-Top' Rolls-Royce is a nice clean example with the opened-up arches and the Orange seat moulding from the last Blue models. You're be pleased to know there are not so many variations of this model to collect, only 'Gold', dark Gold and Lime Green body colours. Dark Orange or Ivory interiors, Tan or Black folded hood moulding, Silver-Grey, Charcoal or Black baseplates.

The purest collector will chase light and dark shades of the Silver-Grey baseplates and the Three or Four wide wheel designs, but we don't have any here mad enough to have them in their collections, do we... :!:

Ghosty.

And both examples in great conditions.
I think I have to turn many Rolls-Royce convertibles here in Germany

I always wonder why lesney paid so much attention to the baseplate colour, except models which has cast something from the body shell in the baseplate (grill, headlights, etc.)

Greetings,
Linus
