Picked up this one recently, getting a bit worried as I am now looking for nice mint models. Wonder how that has happened

Yes, be careful Jason, you'll end up having to change your username to..."theyaremint"...

Yes Ghosty thats what I am worried about, cannot imagine trying to uprgrade all the ones I really like.
Although it would be another excuse to keep me looking for them.

Recently picked up these 2 from completely different places.
Left model the base has not been plated(very hard to photograph)with solid wheels, the right model is superb and has never been riveted(hollow wheels). Looks like the previous owner added a small piece of glue to keep it together. With some warm water the model came apart nicely.

Hi John,
Yes there probably is quite a few about, just finding them. The unpressed one is just superb and i can just imagine a child opening the box and the base falls off. If it had been me I would have got the blame for breaking/taking it apart

Maybe when the base fell off it wasn't played with, so it remained in great condition. (My bad earlier J, I meant to say there can't be many of these about, but it didn't come out quite right
You're right that finding them is the thing, because these details would be mostly hidden. The unpressed/unspun rivets are great.

Yes it's nice to get painted ones for a change, most of my unpressed models are also unpainted.
