This Ford GT40 with wire wheels on it in real life looks as odd to a Yank as James Bond's Aston Martin would with steel disc wheels on it to you Brits. When they were still campaigned over here, ultra wide alloy wheels were the norm for racing teams here. Thanks for the history, and for the original photos though c007rgi, they are a new one on me and a blast to view. With the added weight and power of the GT, the wires must have been a bear to keep running true on these fairly large framed wider stance Ford GTs. kwakers

Some recent additions. K21 I just love this model and its in superb shape with a nice box. 41a with no decal guides but only the rear decal.
Also very pleased to get the Seaking K312 container ship, classed as a prepro but it never actually went into production as far a I know.

Nice additions Jason!
Congratulations on the Seakings Container ship..never saw even a picture of it.
The Cougar is one of my favorites, too, and your's doesn't have the typical traces to the hubs. Very nice.

Greetings,
Linus

Thanks Linus, yes that was a big reason for buying the K21. I think nearly all my others have the hub issues.

Love the Cougar, this and the Charger are beautiful models, almost as good as Corgi. ;)

And the container ship is a great find - how many of these prepros were usually made? I find such unreleased items particularly interesting.
Larry Scaduto just showed another in his recent Matchbox Ambassador Report although his is missing some containers.

Great models. Well done on your finds.
There seems to be a few of those unreleased seakings around all in different colours. It's a shame it was never released. For me, at the time of issue it was one of those series I had no interest in but now I'd quite like a set.

Thanks c007rgi for the link to 'Lamley'. I foumd it very interesting to read about and see those 'Pre-Pro' 'Seakings'. On a model car based forum such as this one here, we tend to forget the other items produced by Lesney etc, so this was a refreshing change.
