Just read all the posts,very informative, I have received my cotton buds and a set of artist brushes so will have a go at cleaning my vehicle tomorrow.

I will try my best. My camera is not up to it, very disappointed with the quality of pictures. I am about to post a new thread and you will see what I mean.

This is after I removed plenty of dirt with a wet artist brush and cotton bud and rinsed it off with a little water.
Is the winding handle a brass one?

Good result and yes the collar on the handle is brass but Dinky did not polish them although when brand new they would look quite bright so a little 'Brasso' would not do any harm.

Thanks. The first job I did was to Brasso the handle, it did come up a little shinier.
